Mission

The purpose of the mission is to develop and implement assistance initiatives for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups in Somaliland, to be integrated into the active society and establish socio-economic independence for their lives.

Vision

The vision of Doses of Hope is to see financial independence, empowerment and integration of the less fortunate and vulnerable groups in Somaliland into the active society.

Program

Doses of Hope program is divided into 5 major areas:

dose of hope economic development through micro finance

dose of hope rehabilitation services for the disabled community;

dose of hope HIV/Aids awareness raising;

dose of hope Vocational training

dose of hope Special needs education

The Doses of Hope Foundation (DOH) is a non-governmental development foundation focused on structurally improving the lives of the Somali people. The organization was established in the Netherlands in November 1997 and was born out of the initiatives of a group of Somali Women in the Diaspora living in the Netherlands (now it has a mixed Board of Dutch nationals and Somali’s).

Reporting for Doses of Hope, 2007

It is undeniable that DOH faces many challenges in the wake of transition. These include the development and implementation of assistance programs for the disabled, disadvantaged, and vulnerable groups in Somaliland. DOH is playing an integral role in deploying sustainable projects aiming at building their socio-economic independence.
